comp won't boot, won't allow into safe mode, it keeps rebooting. I booted to windows cd to try to reinstall windows or do the recovery console. After it starts loading windows from the cd, i get the message that it has shut down windows due to a page fault in non paged area.
computer ran fine until power outage last night, that is when this started.
any ideas??? i am totally lost and since it won't allow me to reinstall windows , i don't know how to fix this.

A Blue Screen referring to 'Page Fault in Non-Paged area' probably indicates a serious hardware problem with the RAM modules, or possibly damaged code resulting from a defective Hard disk.
Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Hey I agree with Mattie. Its the RAm which has blown out. You have to identify the defective module as one or all modules might have blown out. You may try a friends working PC's modules on this PC to isolate the issue. Just make sure that the RAM type and rating is the same. If you ask why the RAM and nothing else, the logic is you are getting display, so the video card is okay, then during POST RAM is checked, beep codes indicate the problem type. Try changing the slots might help.
