Comment:

i installed norton antivirus and done a scan which removed a file from the system32 folder called main.class. I think it had something to do with prefetch. Anyway when i uninstalled norton it took its quarantined files with it. Now when i start my pc i get an error message saying main.class cannot be found

Suggest you locate the "prefetch" folder and delete all the contents. No harm will come to your system. Prefetch will end up re-populated as you use your system. C/Windows/prefetch
