Magic Jack allows free long distance calls from your phone using your computer. I have DSL. I got it and registered it through my wireless connection on my laptop. Tried to connect it later to my desktop using my USB hub and it doesn't work. Notes read said I will need to hook it up using an external powered hub. How does that work? In conclusion my son complains that his girlfriend can barely hear him when he uses the Magic Jack to call her. I don't see an option to set the volume on the device. Help section sucks!!!

If you need a powered USB hub, they're, like, $8. Just go to your local electronics store and ask for one.

Also, if you connect to your DSL though USB, don't. Use Ethernet instead.
