have been trying Vista in VPC 2007 and it was quite disappointing, performance wise.
VirtualBox (on the same Computer) is handling Vista (ANY edition btw :-) way better, although the network driver installation was a bit tricky (well, not too tricky, i downloaded the AMD NDIS5 driver and created an ISO image which then could be mounted, saving the blank CD :-)

If you have ever wondered why M$ is giving away Virtual PC 2007 for free, read THIS. Partially quoted:
