When I turn on my xp computer, I see the windows xp bar correct, until it reaches to the point right before the blue startup/password screen. Then, I see a black screen followed by the following message, "When trying to update a password, this return status indicates that the value provided as the current password is incorrect" Then the title of this message box is titled, "lsass.exe." About a few seconds later, the computer automatically restarts itself. Then it keeps displaying the same message everytime it restarts. Any idea what this might be? I haven't changed any password the last time i used it. Could this be a virus?

Have a look at this: - http://www.techimo.com/forum/t40558.html

And also when it boots up press the f8 key and select last known good configuration.

Good look
