I have a new OptiPlex 260 running Windows XP Professional that when trying to boot up gives me the error meggage "lsass.exe - Not Enough Quota.....Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota is available to complete the specified operation".
It then loops back and tries to reboot again and again.
I encountered this error after being prompted to insert the windows reinstallation disk while trying to fix another problem. I also tried repairing it with the recovery disk.
I have tried retarting using all of the choices from Windows Advanced Options Menu which include Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Enable Bood Logging, Enable VGA Mode, Last Known Good Configuation, Directory Services Restore Mode Debugging Mode Start Windows Normally, and reboot.
Any suggestions that actually will work?
Thanks.

Just to say, you should get more RAM.
XP uses all of, at least, 128 to run properly,
and works better.
It slows things down if you have programs
starting and running in the background during Startup.
Also when you open programs, things are slower
if they have to take RAM away from XP.
You should have enough RAM (above 128) for each program you run at the same time.
