I have encountered a nasty little error and any help would be most appreciated. My pc shut down out of the blue twice within about five minutes. After the second time, when I tried to reboot I got a lsass.exe error. I click ok and it goes back to reboot and it keeps looping through this process. I did try going into recovery mode and then into safe mode but both times it barely came up then the lsass.exe came up and started the loop again. I have been looking all over the place for answers but I have not really found much besides a lot of people have had this problem and they have had to reinstall. Which I will do if I have to but I REALLY don't want to go that route if I can avoid it. Any advice???????????????????????

Go into your BIOS and make your CDROM your first boot device, at the same time, DISABLE second and third boot devices, put your Xp cd in the drive, save and exit.
When you get to the setup screen, make like you were doing a fresh install, and when you get to the "Select a partition to install to" prompt, you need to select the partition/drive that Xp is ALREADY on, and click OK.
You will then be presented with a message along the lines of "Xp already detected on this partition, would you like to repair?"
Click Yes/Ok to repair your Xp without losing any data or settings.
