Low memory message

While on AOl I keep receiving a low memory message. After rebooting the problem goes away but comes back later

Message suggests that you may have a bunch of applications running from your startup menu; adding RAM would probably solve the problem.

could be solved by disabling system restore, since this eats a lot of memory. Works under XP

hi
try clearing the startup, go to start, run type in msconfig and hit enter...go to startp tab and uncheck extra applications.
this might help in win me which u have. also check the system resources free under performance tab in system properties.
