Are you using McAfee ?

Mcafee has a temporary hotfix for this problem on their website until their next build is released.

i think the problem is on the system restore... i checked it out and it consumed 2gb of space in my drive d... so how do i minimize the size of it?

in the properties of system restore, i already lowered the tab to the 1 step before the minimum for system restore for drive d:

Is XP on C ?

If so , D should be set to > Turned Off .

I have my C set to 243mb .

Yes , as long as you have set C drive to restore .

And even if C drive has'nt been saving , it will begin to do so from now on .
