hi,
i installed oracle 9i on my second partition a few days back ok so far so good,,yesterday night my antivirus software captured a virus named MBTFF**.exe ok it dleted the file and my m/c was virus free,,the virus surely didnt came from oracle cd coz my firend installed it from the same cd,,ok now when i started my pc in the morning i recieved a low disk space meessage on the system tray and i was shocked to know that 0 bytes were available and i surely know that yesterday it was showing 1.45 gb free space,,ok then it suggested to remove some unwanted files i did that and managed to free up 45 mb so my hard disk free space was 45mb ok then i again rebooted and when windows was loaded i recieved low disk space message again i clicked on it and again it showed me 0 bytes free on drive d: and just a few mins b4 i know i had freed up 45mb why is my disk space going to 0 bytes is that due to that virus? please suggest i want my free space back!!

Hi monika,

Hey, I thought I had posted to this before, but it seems to not have registered, so here it is again:

I didn't find any info on that MBTFF**.exe file (spelled correctly?), so were there any other names given that could point me in the right direction?

Meanwhile, here are some free Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware scanners (Try the first 2 of each at least):
Anti-Virus:
[on-line] BitDefender Anti-Virus
[on-line] RAV Anti-Virus (AV Security)
[on-line] ActiveScan Anti-Virus (Panda)
[on-line] HouseCall Anti-Virus (Trend Micro)
AVG Anti-Virus (Grisoft)

Anti-spyware:
Spybot Search & Destroy (Safer Networking)
Ad-aware (Lavasoft)
[on-line] TrojanScan (GFi)
CWShredder (Merijn.org)
TDS-3 (DiamondCS)
Pest Patrol
Keep in mind that some of them may need to be updated over the web first when started, and before zapping the baddies!

It does seem to be a virus, unless something is enabled that gobbles up a lot of disk-space.
