lost space in C:/

hi
my HDD is very funny......when i check the free space in my HDD is 5.67 GB and i leave the computer on for whole night and i go to sleep,,,, i dont touch it at all, i just put screen saver on it and no internet connection at that time....
And in the morning i check the free space is lostand left 5,63 GB......?????
Is there a virus or anything????howcome i lost space so many times like that, i try to check it out for many time.....?and it happen so many times
please help me.....

Your pc is probably making restore files. Windows does this to make it possible to put your pc back to a day in the past. I think your pc makes this "back up" t night.

You should be able to find some file s named ***000.chk or something like that. You can delete these files ig you want to (this disables you to set back the system)

.chk files are from chkdisk after a hard reboot, not from system restore
"system volume info" is where the restore files are found
