Hello, I have a problem with my windows xp login screen. There is a password that i put on my account. but the problem is that i forgot to put a hint and i havent been on a while. I forgot it and was wonderign if there is a way to view it via the bios. I tried safe mode but it didnt help. Any help would be appriciated.

This gets asked a couple of times a day and has been answered countless times. Just search the forums and you'll get your choice of several different ways to get it.

Will this reset my machine to default XP mode, and more importantly, will it overwrite any of my specialized programs that I have on my computer.
Also, I run my machine in Classic mode. Will this change? When complete, will it be like a virgin install of XP, or will all my registry and desktop settings be retained??

13. Once the Repair is done, you will be able to log on with your new password (or without a password if you chose not to use one or if you chose not to be asked for a password). Your programs and personalized settings should remain intact.

sp by using this security hole, and when I gain acess to the graphical info (login account ifo, will i get to view the password previosly set, becasue my account is limited and I only have one too. I do not have a flobby disk drive.

When I get to the repair, it asks me for the Administrators password. That is what I forgot. I cannot get past that screen.
