Lost Outlook Folder

Microsoft Outlook 2007
January 7, 2010 at 17:59:09
Specs: Windows XP
I have a main folder that I store all my messages from (called my mail). I have emails in this folder for many years. I went to delete a junk email in the junk email folder and it took forever but eventually it was fine. However, I noticed that my mail folder is now missing. I'm sure I didn't delete it accidently because the .pst file is the same size as it has been (about 1.2 gig). I tried reopening the folder but the folder name is not showing. But given the size of the .pst file, it seems my saved messages are indeed there. Any ideas of how to fix this? Could it be corruption? If yes, how to resolve? Please HELP!!!

Did you check the Deleted Items Folder? If you have not emptied it then your PST will remain the same size even though you might have accidentally deleted the folder. Go into your Deleted Items and drag it back your to your root before you empty your deleted items.

Yes, it's not in there. Thank you.

It's not a size issue - seems to be corrupt. Now am trying to find the best repair tool to use. The MS one provided is not working.
