Hi
I have a problem with my harddrive. Under the XP OS, my harddrive was partition with a C and a D: drive. I wanted to go back to an earlier version of windows, (98) so I reinstalled with the 98 WIN OS but now my harddrive is only reading 2gb, where I once had a capacity of 8gb.
Does anyone know what the problem might be. Just a guess, but could i have accidently created another partition and installed Win 98 on this new 2gb partition. If so, how would I get back the rest or unpartition this mess. Old data not a major concern.

you'll have to fdisk, and answer yes Do you wish to enable large disk support? then remove any extended partitions, then remove primary partition, then add primary dos partition, choose maximum for it, reboot to set active, when prompted. then format ,it should now format to its full capacity. then reinstall windows.
