I've lost network connectivity in a particular machine. I can ping the loopback address, but I cannot ping "yahoo.com", I use ipconfig, and no information is returned. Everything is physically connected, patch cable, nic, etc. Where to go from here?

What do technology and the weather have in common?

try checking your DNS servers in your tcp/ip properties. Make sure they are good.

Have you tried renewing your ip address "ipconfig/renew"? What are you connecting to, a router, modem, etc? Whatever it is, try reseting it.
