Comment:

I cannot find the volume control icon (it is not on the task bar). My computer states that there is no Volume Control program and that it needs to be installed.

When I go to Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/ all I get is Windows Media PLayer.

Sound works fine. Windows Media player works fine. My default sound card is Audigy Soundblaster; I also have Nero installed.

Please advise. Thank you

IRA

Thanks, but when I tried the "Run' suggestion, I got a message that Windows could not find it.

Try--
Add/Remove Programs,
Add/Remove Windows Components,
then look around to check mark Volume Control.
