Hi!
I noticed a strange and frightening thing today. I installed XP on an existing 98 OS and there were no problems whatsoever. Until I opened Outlook Express and all mails that I had in there were gone. Now I am frantically searching for a way to get those back as there are very important mails in there... Anybody who could help me out? Thanks for your quick reply!

they are still there. xp just created a new mail folder. i had to do this just a few days ago and it works. the mail is stored in: C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{a long set of numbers}\Microsoft\Outlook Express. u will see 2 outlook express folders. one is the new one and the other is the old. delete all the files in the new one and move the old ones over. u may have to do a little work to it to work properly but it does work. make sure that all the names are correct. this page can also help. http://www.tomsterdam.com/insideOE/backup/index.htm
