Hi everybody

Recently, actually yesterday, my coimputer gave me an message that my hard drive qàwas full and i was supposed to free some space. My first hard drive has 6g (Wiondows is instaàlled there)and the second has 2. I was suprised becase in my last check i was supposed to have just 2g or so used, so i started to check folder by folder and i really didn't have that much used... finally, in despair, i restarted and, surprise , when i went to properties i had just 1,5g used!!

So, if it was to hard to understand each time that i start my computer it has 1,5 gigs of used hard drive space and 4,5 free BUT after some time it begins to dissapear, in a couple hours my hard drive is full, and I have to reboot!!

Sorry to be so tangly, my english is terrible, but i hope i made myself clear enough!! Thanks in advance for your precious help

Catalian

how much rams do u have? sounds like virtual memory is taking up the space.. what setting do u have in virtual memory(system->advanced) try setting your virtual memory to a fix amount(ie max & min the same value)..

That is probably because of the paging file. It uses your hard drive as ram.

Take a good look at your computer and do your self a faver and go to a more sootable o/s Like win 98. Xp requires a hugh amount of resoures with almost ever thing disabled it uses 65megs not to muntion the hard disk space used for the paging file, hibornate, system restore. Go back to win 98.
