Lost function keys on laptop

Hi all. I have somehow maqnaged to kill my function keys on my toshiba satellite 5005and can not find a source to tell me how to restore them.The Toshiba site doesn't help either. Does anyone know the secret restore magic. Thanks for input. Stewart

Never mind people. After pursuing every esoteric possibility for repair I tried the obvious that I should have thought of first and did a system restore and PRESTO! System restore has to be the best thing that ever came out of MS and the designer should get an Oscar :-)
