Hello. I have an HP CD Writer. It showed an error and said that I needed to reinstall the program. I uninstalled the program and went to reinstall and discovered that my D drive and E drives were missing. How do I get my drives back? It says that there is not a cd rom connected to the computer, but I cannot reinstall because the drives are not listed in MY COMPUTER... Thanks...

Sounds like a software bug,
Try a system restore..restore the system to a previous date (before the burner problem) and try it all again..

BACKUP YOUR DATA FIRST

The system restore does not always work 100%

If this does not help, try seeing a tech to check your drives but i'm pretty sure this is a software problem...i'm pretty sure the drives work fine..

Good Luck!
