I either get the can't find server page or as the browser is spinnig it's wheels the connection is dropped and then the connection page pops up redialing with another bar in front of it saying redialing connection and counting down from 60 with a choice to cancel or redial. If I hit cancel the connection page I mentioned in the background goes ahead and reconnects. Any thoughts?

Are you by chance checking your email with outlook express? There is a setting in outlook express settings that makes your internet connection disconnect from the internet if you have it selected to do so. I have also noticed for some reason out of the blue that this setting will sometimes set it self. I have never found a reason for it though. If you use outlook express check your settings.

It's unchecked. That's usually the first thing that gets unchecked before using OE for the first time. Thanks for trying. Anything else I could check or do?

Right click on your network connection, in communications, network connections. Make sure all those settings are set to not disconnect.
