Looking for Emergency repair disk for Win XP

Specs: Windows XP
Hope I explain this right I have a refurbished pc dell optiplex GV280 winxp it was hooked up to dial up and i ran it so that i could use a router with it and now i need to convert it back to dial up because were the pc is going is that all they have is dial up here is my problem it is not recieving a dial tone and saying no modem. I called duracom they said they could not help me because it is out of warranty they told me to use the disk that came with it i did and i got a messaged that it says disk not found

An emergency repair disk wouldn't help you much. If you didn't actually (physically) remove the modem, then you likely deleted it from the hardware list or removed it's driver. Run the hardware wizard and see if it finds anything. If so, and it doesn't find a compatible driver, then you'll need to figure out precisely the type of modem that's in it and download the appropriate driver from the web.

Ok I will try to do that but if that doesn't work is there a site that i could get a copy of the recovery system disk the disk says contains modem drivers, video drivers, sound drivers, and recovery system. Then I could just put the hard drive make to the way it came. Thanks again for your help

Go to the Dell homepage and you'll find the drivers for your model there.

Use the service tag on the system to get exact drivers from dell or use their software online to get correct drivers for the modem.
