For some reason, when I have my HP printer, scanner, copier all in one plugged in, the "my computer" icons take an extremely long time to load, like 5 mins. This stops when i unplug the HP. However, before a recent reformat, this problem never occured, even when the hp was plugged in. How do i permanently keep the "my computer" normal, without unplugging the unit every time?

have you checked for spyware on your computer? spyware/malware/etc is the main reason why computers slow down as strange points. also, it might pay to uninstall the hp drivers, reboot, then reinstll them

good luck!
