Hello
How can you change the classic logon background instead of it being blue all of the time? Is this possibleJim J.
IF YOU KILL A COMPUTER ON THE INSIDE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL KILL IT ON THE OUTSIDE!

Download and install TweakUI
When installed, change your wallpaper to the one you want for the logon screen. then go: LOGON>>>SETTINGS>>>Check off wallpaper>>>COPY NOW>>>Reboot your computer.Good luck!
There is no need for thanks!

Windows_2000/Xp_Logon_Screen_Wallpaper
When you setup a background wallpaper for your desktop, the initial logon screen wallpaper is not changed and stays as the default Windows appearance. This tweak allows you to change the default wallpaper:
System Key: [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: Wallpaper, TileWallpaper
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Modify the value of 'Wallpaper' to equal the path and filename of the bitmap (BMP) file you want to use as the background (e.g. 'c:\windows\mylogo.bmp').
In the same key, you can also modify these additional values "Pattern" (0 is normal, 2 is stretch to fill the screen, which is mutually exclusive with TileWallpaper = 1) and The "WallpaperStyle" string has 2 possible data values, 0 does NOT stretch the bitmap, and 2 stretches the the bitmap. You may not set TileWallpaper to 1, if WallpaperStyle is a 2. "TileWallpaper" (0 is Don't tile, 1 is tile) to set the background pattern and Tile mode respectively.
If you use a normal, not tiled logo, you can position it by adding the following REG_SZ values:
WallpaperOriginX set to the number of pixels from the left hand edge of the screen.
WallpaperOriginY set to the number of pixels from the top of the screen
NOTE: As always when editing the Registry, a backup is a good idea, and reboot might be required for changes to take effect.
