try running a repair install from ur XP disk . . . or MAYBE i donno if this works in DOS but u can try
boot into dos type sfc /scannow and this program (system file checker, i believe) puts all the original files (like dll's) back in if they have been changed.
if those don't help, what DOES come up when windows loads?
