Logitech USB keyboard stopped working

Specs: Windows XP
I have just purchased a Logitech USB keyboard and it has stopped working. I have tried it on a different computer and it works fine. I ended up having to replace my PS/2 keyboard because it stopped working as well. The first day the Logitech keyboard worked fine and has since stopped. I don't think it is any of the ports because my mouse, printer, etc work in these ports. The PS/2 port stopped working and this is why I replaced it with the Logitech USB keyboard. Sometimes when I plug it into a new port the light on the keyboard flickers on but then goes off again. I have read a different post that says to enter the BIOS screen but I do not know how to access this without a keyboard. I rely on my computer for work related reasons and am desperately seeking assistance.

Did the keyboard come with a drivers disk? If so try to reinstall the driver. If not then got...

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager button -> Scroll down to Keyboards, expand it -> Remove the HID Keyboard Device.

Then reboot your computer and it should detect your keyboard as a new device and install the Plug-And-Play drivers. You will need to give your computer about 30 seconds to install the driver after rebooting.

If not already installed, download and install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP (SP3) from Microsoft:
