Despite fake infos,WIN XP does not recognise the above video hardware..and of course Logitech does not provide a driver for windows XP..any tip will be welcomed by a french guy running whistler beta 2 version and adressing his kind thoughts from paris to all of u..thank you

I have installed the final copy of Windows XP on my computer, and it is not compatible with my Logitech QuickCam Web. It just doesn't work. Anybody have any ideas on how to get it to work? Thanks.

Logitech's compatibility page now has XP on it, and describes what's compatible and what isn't: http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/xp.cfm
According to this, my Quickcam VC Parallel is now junk and you should buy a new camera. :-(
Having tried both the qc550enu and vc415 installers from Logitech, neither work (XP build 2505). So I'd say that page was correct. :-(
Maybe the USB version works still, but the parallel is history!

well, i have a quickcam pro. not the quickcam pro 3000, but just pro. USB...doesn't work at all...winxp doesn't even recognize it at all....help!

I'm having the same problem here. Has anyone figured out a solution yet or do I have to buy a new webcam just to be in compliance with this damn XP??

did download the qc550enu driver from logitech, installed it and.... it does not work ! (sorry Jim G.)
Logitech has many different QuickCam models, mine is a QuickCam VC USB (the one from Connectix before it was bough from Logitech)
If anyone gets it to work, great ! (I have about six of theses QuickCam VC's.....)

I installed successfully the Quickcam VC USB drivers for Win98 (WDM) on Windows 2000...
the drivers worked fine... seems to work too on WinXP...The only problem I detected: The APM/ACPI features has been automatically disabled...!
Please write me if you have more info maybe a fixed .INI file ...Nat, 01@fibertel.com.ar

Logitech QuickCam VC USB and parallel cameras SHOULD work on Windows 2000 and XP IF you follow the directions found here.

Hi, I have a new HP computer with Win XP. I have a quickcam 3000. The qickcam works, but the video is jerky, and the voice/video is not synchronized (like an old movie). I also have a IBM pent 3, with Win 98. The camera works great, the video flows and the words are synchronized with the video. Does anyone else have this problem? I downloaded the XP driver, still have problem. I also returned the camera for a new one. This did not help. Both computers have the same GE Force NVidea 400 video card. Thanks, Trish

I had the same problem with my Logitech Cam and Windows XP, since i changed the version of XP, from english to swedish, everything worked fine.
