Hi everybody,
my problem is the new logitech mouseware 9412b004, which is released for winxp.
In Quake3 my logi wingman mouse hangs, means once a button is pressed it doesn't stop its function!
With winxp device drivers its no problem.
Does anyone got an answer for me!

Thx

No thumb button :-(
I've two mice on my computer, the wingman is only for gaming the other one (cordless optical) is for working ;-)
Two different sense settings and so on.
The XP drivers doesn't support two mice!!

this is the fix for the logitech wheel mouse
also fixes scrolling problems in browsers.

From the Registry Editor screen, double click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
- Double click on SOFTWARE.
- Double click on Logitech.
- Double click on MouseWare.
- Double click on CurrentVersion.
- Single click on Technical and information should be displayed on
the right side of the Registry Editor screen.
- Under the Name column, double click on the "MouseHookDLLEnable"
entry and the Edit String Dialogue box should appear.
- Modify the Value Data line to read "0", and click the "OK" button
- Exit the Registry editor (saving is automatic).
- Restart the system.

Your game software should now be able to properly use your Logitech
Wheel/Roller.

I have a wingman gaming mouse 3 buttons.
Same problems in counter-strike. Mouse hangs on occations. Unacceptable for us hardcore gamers. Have had XP for 2 days and I already want a service pack.

Thank you "www" (above) for the mouse fix. I was going absolutely crazy with my wheel screwing up while on the web... which is often. Now it works great. Also learned of the existence of the regedit, which looks to be useful. Now I must go and do the dance of joy. =)

I would also like to add a big Thank you to "www" (above)for this info.
There have been many games I couldn't play because either the wheel or the thumb button wouldn't work.
Thanks again.

I love everything about the mouse... speed, feel USB. I'm on my fourth one because I wear the Left mouse button down on 1st person shooters. I opened one up and the pin that strike's the clicking device is made of plastic and flattens after a couple months of hard gaming ie.. GAMING MOUSE. I tried to send Logitech and email and phone call to reinforce this pin to create the "ultimate gaming mouse" but got a response back that there was nothing they could do.
