I have a new Logitech cordless click-plus optical mouse, and have intermittently been having an odd problem. My system will boot up to the XP desktop, but as soon as I move the mouse, something happens and the system goes down and reboots. No error messages that I've seen, it just goes down (screen blanks like a reboot). It scans the disk on the way up, and then it may do the same thing when I move the mouse, or it may be fine.
This only happens occasionally, but I'd like to know if anyone else with this mouse has experienced this and/or has found a solution for it. Due to the intermittent nature of this, it is very hard to debug.
Anyone?
Thanks.
-Roger

The reboot is a stop error.
set your machine not to reboot on stop errors.
Wait for it to happen again.
Note the error.
Search google for the stop error and the file causing it.
Solve the problem.
Use your machine happily.

Thanks for the tip on stop errors. I'll try that. Also, I did go to Logitech and there is a problem listed there where after installing this mouse your system won't boot. That isn't my problem. I'll keep looking, though.
Thanks.
