Lately my younger brother has been messing with my computer. He has been messing with the bios password and settings. He has also been disabling the login password for my account, making himself an account, and then limiting my use to my computer. As I am much bigger then him I have always been able to gain control of my computer again. I would like to know how he is resetting my account password, and what I can do to stop it (besides buying a lock for my door). he claims he knows a "couple of key strokes an idiot like me would never understand" anyways I would really enjoy any help anyone can offer me with this annoying little problem. Thanks for your time.

Yeah, simple, get a fingerprint i.d. mouse, they are really cheap these days. Aint no-one gonna gain access to your pc unless they chop yur finger off. Bios? yes, you slap your brother with a large salmon until he divulges the current p/word, then you set up a bios p/word of your own.

The only way he can be altering your p/words within your Xp admin account is by getting to the pc when you are logged in, but not there (out, takin' a dump, whatever), either that or he's a highly trained cracker, which i doubt.

Setup your admin user account, make all new p/words, and just make sure he dont get to the pc while you are logged in. If you ever need to leave yur pc turned on (might be d/loading, whatever) while you are not there, click START, then LOGOFF USER, then SWITCH USER, and leave it at the login screen. All your programs will still be running, but he'll need YOUR p/word to gain access to your desktop.

Or enable BIOS password, so that the little raskal wouldn't be able to get even to Windows log-in screen. This password would prevent him from altering your BIOS settings too.
