login password does not work!!!

On my laptop for some reason the password does not work anymore. I cant login to my system. Does anyone know how i can bypass this step to log in to windows..

at the log in,
press Control, alt, delete
do that twice.. you'll be at another login.. type administrator and log in.. since it's a dell you may not have that account..
in that case the only other way I know of is to boot with EBCD and remove the password.

I've seen this a few times, and it's not always that simple. When it happened to me, even after i changed the password with a linux boot disc, it didn't log in. I think it's a windows fault, in that it's missing a link between the password and the log-in module. Even repairing windows doesn't work. i had to do a full format. Hopefully the first guy helped, but if not, good luck!

with the EBCD I've never been able to change the password.
But sofar simply erasing the password has always worked.

I will try the alt, control, delete. to see what happens.. i will let you know..
