can anyone help me out when i try to log on to windows xp by entering my password it takes bout 3 to 4 min to get through also if any one knows more about hkey and processes please reply back thanxs

I would have a look at
- your services that starts when Windows start ( Control Panel/admin tools/services ).

- also check your programs/apps in msconfig/Start tab )

I'm a novice at detecting these things, but I see some things in there that can be removed. Try posting this log in the Security and Virus forum to get help there. Make sure you state your problems in the post. By the way, if you haven't already, download Spybot Search and Destory and Ad-Aware. Update them and scan your system and delete what they find. See if this helps.

I have the same problem, after I type my password in xp, it locks up for 1-2 minutes. In that time, I can't do or start anything. Any suggestions?

You should try Spybot Search and Destroy. Download it from the link below and update it. Scan and see if the problem gets fixed.
