Log on to domain

Specs: Windows XP
I have had Windows Server 2003 running well for a very long time. Never an issue and I have made no changes.

Lately, when I have reformatted a new or old machine with Win XP or Win 7, I join them to the server, same as I always have. They can log on and log off just fine.

But once they restart their machine, it won't let them log on giving a message that the Domain and the Client Machine do not have a relationship. This makes no sense. In XP, I have to log into administrator of the PC to join the machine again to the server, In Win 7, I'm just locked out.

Are you removing the computer from the domain before you reinstall?

If not, try that once and see if that doesn't fix the issue.
