I don't understand the post. Is there a question there somewhere, Pastor?

No, I do not need the password, I have that for I entered it, the machine in question is at the church which crashed after the reboot upon loading SP2 since it will now be online, I just did a fresh install of Os and programs and in doing so I loaded a password for Admin but the log-in window only show the three users I put outside myside, I want Admin. to show on log-in window so that I can update and maintain without having to install on the 3 users separately, normally it shows and you must it.

PastorDonnie,

Is this XP Home, thinking it is, or is XP Pro?? If it is home, the 'Admin', as you called it, is only shown in Safe Mode. The first main user, at install in home has admin rights (Computer administrator). That would probably be your account, the first. That users rights, can't be lowered. Well, it can, but another user would then have to have admin rights :-)

Are we talking of the welcome screen, or of the classic logon?? If pro and using the classic. Have you tried the admin username and password yet??

I guess, need to know if the OS is Home or Pro, thanks. Not sure, of what your exact problem is, sorry.

PastorDonnie,

Was checking, to see if you responded, and see I left something out, sorry. The second paragraph, should of ended with this;

If Pro, and using the Welcome screen. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice, and then enter the administrator username, and password.

Hope you find something useful, in these words :-)

Good Luck,
CrazyOne

To all who have responded, my apology it is XP Pro for I would not mess with Home other than to upgrade to Pro immediately in that it has nothing. Will try suggestion when I go to church today after visiting my grandson who has pneumonia. If any one has anything they is beneficial pleas post. Thank you and be bless in my Lord to whom all praise is due.

I suppose it would be the classic logon inasmuch as the screen in my mind is the one in Pro where the Adminstrator and users show on the same window. This particular machine was ordered with Home but when it crashed last Wed. I reinstall using my Pro OS disc not the Home backup disc which came as part of original package. I am around for awhile here at home as I wait for my son-in-law to pick up since I do not drive anymore since stroke six years ago.
