My normal log in account is called James (my name), but it has been locked out for some stupid reason. I can't remember setting this option up in the Administrative Tools either. My computer is automatically set to log me on to James with my password. However, I can't get on to it. Also, when I boot up in Safe Mode the Administrator account isn't shown. The default administrator account is actually called something like #JAM~4AmDIn (notice the spelling mistake). However, I haven't written it down so I can't remember the cryptic combination.
When I experienced this the first time, my computer showed me that account on the Welcome Screen. But now I can't get it back. BTW, I know you can press Ctrl + Alt + Del twice and get back the default Windows 2000-style" logon dialog. However, this still doesn't help me because I can't remember the name of my administrator account!
This could be temporary, of course, but I don't know what the lockout period is set at or what the counter reset is at either. Please, can someone help me?!
Thanks in advance,
James :o)

Sorry, please don't reply. I fixed the problem. The lockout timer was set at 10 minutes. Now I'm back in (and I'm writing down my administrator user name now).
Thanks anyway,
James
