I want to lock down a single profile so that no matter what changes a user does, when he or she logs off and back on again the profile is of a standard format ie back to how it was. So basically i need a locked profile. How do i go about doing this? does making the folder in documents and settings read only work???

You can only lock down a sinle user when quick user changing is disabled. so change the way that user log in in the user configuration under your computers configuration. then pres windows key + L to lock down a workstation.

What i meant is that i have a single PC with two logon profiles. One is the admin one , the other just a standard user. I want to set it up so that if the user moves shortcuts , minimizes windows etc when they log off it reverts back to how it was. I believe this is a mandatory profile but i have problems setting it up on a single machine
