Yesterday night, I installed the free proxy server to speed up the webpages from Marketscore. A few minutes later, I have scanned for Spyware with "Spyware Stormer". It found out that that Marketscore is spyware. So, I rebooted my computer to connect my ZIP disk to restore from backup. The program is called "Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3". I installed Spybot into my computer. I have scanned and removed spyware with Spybot. I rebooted my computer because the spyware in RAM, so it have scanned and removed them again. It is successful. What is guess? It is very slow. I figured it out, finally. It's Norton AntiVirus due to try to connect on the internet for access scan Emails for viruses, so I disabled it. Now my computer is faster. When I typed "mail.yahoo.com" on IE, it said cannot access the Yahoo!'s server and any internet. I tried everything, it do nothing. I opened the "Local Area Connection". I noticed that a yellow lockpad on grey LAN icon. What is it? Am I locked out? Can I remove this lockpad? I tried to repair this LAN. It said that I need to contact with system admin or ISP. I am admin! I tried to remove this LAN, but it is not successful. I noticed that when I typed mail.yahoo.com. This computer did sent some packets. This computer did not received any packets. I tried to contact with my own router from my computer. I typed "http://192.168.0.1", but same thing as I type in mail.yahoo.com. I turned my computer off. This morning, I tried to repair the windows XP with CD, but I did not see any success. I turned it off agin. When I read the forum... I thought that there is socket chain is broke when the Marketscore removed, right? Should I fix LSP? Should I remove my Ethernet card from the list in device mangarment? Thanks.

The lock on your local area connection means that your XP firewall is turned on protecting you from outside attack. It would not be the cause of you not being able to access websites or email.

If you have system restore turned on you can restore your computer to the day before the problem began - go to Accessories, System Tools, System Restore and choose a Restore point before the problem began and see if this helps any.

Also Spybot may find that Marketscore is spyware but if you read the instructions, it will also tell you that it may detect innocent programs as spyware and you should be sure that it is not deleting something in error.
