I am trying to Open Adobe and after it is fully opened the screen goes blank and a pop up box says this :
unable to continue /c of a hardware or sysem error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
What does that mean? I also was running a weekly scan and Norton found a virus. It was from Kazaa, But it won't let me delete it, even after I've unistalled Kazza it says this:Can not delete file: Access is denied.
Make sure he disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.The file's not in use, but i don't understand the first 1/2 of that....somebody help please?

As far as the kazaa virus problem goes...Have you tried an on-line virus scan like Trend Micro's House call?Norton probably has that service also.I do know that house call is free.

Hey,another suggestion.I would download and use Adaware and Spybot after you get your virus removed.Zazaa and other peer to peer sites pass on adware in downloads. Those two tools will remove that stuff.

Yea i tried that Roberto. and Jim, my dad could probably fix it, but he'll be gone for a day or so. SO i was just wondering if there were any quick fixes. thanks!

If Norton AV 2002 found an infected file it is probably quarantined. Go to Norton, Reports, Quarantined items, click on the file, then delete. I would then rerun the virus scan.
I don't know what Adobe program you are trying to run, but the virus may have corrupted a system file and/or an Adobe program file. Try reinstalling the Adobe program. To check for bad Win XP system files, go to Accessories, Command Prompt, type in 'sfc/scannow' -- have your XP cd in the drive. Takes about 20 minutes to fix bad system files.
