WinXP pro has the same issues as Win2000sp2 or less. 48 bit LBA support. Also, you never said if your MBoard is 48 bit compliant. Head in the sand isn't going to cut it for long.

I outlined how to check for compliance in your other post. Your MBoard is either compliant or it isn't. There is no enabling the hardware. Watch the screens at startup like I told you in the other thread. Below is a link to the other thread.

The site I linked to doesn't ship outside the USA. Copy the type of card and search for a site in your area. The card I linked will ocnnect both IDE and SATA.

Even after installing SP4 and the rollup you need to edit the registry. to enable big LBA.

If you get a controller card the easiest way for you to proceed would be to partition the harddrive with a primary partition smaller than 127GB. Install Win2000 with the CD you now have. Install the Motherboard drivers. Update Win2000 completely. Edit the registry as explained in the MS link. The rest of your drive will now be available in disk management. You can partition and format as you like.

If you need more help with the controller card post a link to what you think you need and I will loo at it for you.

Hi.
I asked in service do the have that card and why i need it and here is asnwer:

"HDD was tested last time and was correct.
About suport- Your MB supports HDD bigger than 250 MB (if it isnt it wouldnt been installed) and u wouldnte "see" all 250 MB if not so.
So you dont need PCI controller."

His answer has point cos i see all hdd and saw it in 2000.

You never answered wheather or not the entire drive was showing. Then you asked about the add in controller card so i figured you checked and decided you needed a card.

Now, if your version of Win2000 does no include at least SP3 or you version of WinXP does not include SP1 you cannot create a partition using ALL the space on the drive. You will either need to partition the drive by making the first partition smaller than 127GB or you will need to slipstream the newer service packs into your versions and burn them to a new CD.

Say what you want to do.

Yes, all you need is SP4 integrated into the CD. We never discussed SATA drives. You may need to provide SATA drivers during installation of W2k if you have a SATA drive. If you have a newer graphics card you will need DX9 installed prior to installing the graphics drivers. I THINK SP4 includes DX8, which may be good enough, depends on the card.

Even when slipstreaming SP4 you STILL need to edit the registry to enable bigLBA. That is covered in one of the links from the other post.

Hi.
Done and working. For now.
Had sooooooo many problems till i made working cd...
Still few things dont work well (audio drivers..) but im satisfied. I had problems adding suport in egistry. It says on site type 1x0, but it not allowing nothing except numbers. I wrote it in notepad and c/p and it worked. Just, after i clicked ok it turned in number, 401 i think. So why they didnt say so in first place!!?
Now my win2000 starts to load imidiately and not waiting 10+ seconds!!
Thanks for help.
