Load Needed DLLs for Kernel

Boot up problem with XP Pro. Tried to join domain, rebooted and "slam": "Load Needed DLLs for Kernel". I've checked my boot.ini, expanded the hal.dll and ntoskrnl.exe directly from the CD. No luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try running the Repair option off the Windows XP CD..........

What do you do if you cant remember your password? The repair option asks you for the windows xp password. how do you fix the problem?

dont go to the repair console, select enter to setup XP, f8 to sign your life away to MS, then I should find the XP install and offer to repair automaticly.

or if you remember your admin pw, at the Recovery consoul, type chkdsk /r or maybe /p i cant remember

if you dont know your admin pw, if fat32, get a dos boot disk and delete teh SAM file, should be in the c:\windows\system dir i believe, then reboot. should make your password blank.
