Hi,
Please note I do not know where my Windows XP CD is.
I turned on my laptop awhile ago and it said that the hal.dll was corrupt or missing. So I put in a DOS Boot disk and then copied a new hal.dll from a floppy disk, using only DOS Command codes.
I thought that it would fix it.
Now, when I turn on my laptop, it says
Windows could not start because of an error in software.
Please report this problem as :
load needed DLLs for kernel.

What am I supposed to do?
I am typing this on my Windows XP desktop, so I can copy files from it over to my laptop.
What can I do?
