Hi, Please note I do not know where my Windows XP CD is. I turned on my laptop awhile ago and it said that the hal.dll was corrupt or missing. So I put in a DOS Boot disk and then copied a new hal.dll from a floppy disk, using only DOS Command codes. I thought that it would fix it. Now, when I turn on my laptop, it says Windows could not start because of an error in software. Please report this problem as : load needed DLLs for kernel.
What am I supposed to do? I am typing this on my Windows XP desktop, so I can copy files from it over to my laptop. What can I do?
