When the mouse hovers over an icon on the desktop on over a file in a window or just about anything a yellow box appears with the items info in it. This is causing the mouse to freeze for a moment, most annoying. I have opened a folder, clicked on "Tools" then "Folder Options" then "View" and unchecked the "Show pop-up description for folder and Desktop items" option. Now instead of getting the items info I get a small yellow pop-up highlighting the items name! The mouse still freezes! Does anyone know how to get rid of this feature? TIA Software gives me a headache.

Better to find out why the mouse is freezing. When did this start?

Thanks guys... I have CursorXP installed on the machine. The problem with the mouse turned out to be the "tails" I had enabled with the cursor (it's my wife's machine) Once I changed the "tails" things cleared up (am I red faced or what?). Software gives me a headache.
