I had my computer 'fixed'. Now when clicking a link, e.g. to log on or sign in, if a new tab should open it does not connect. The tab says 'connecting' but nothing happens. If the sign in or log on stays in the same tab there is no problem. AVG anti-virus has been installed. Does this have something to do with it? I have tried changing some things in the tools but nothing works.

Cath, your AVG guess might be a good one. RIGHTCLICK the AVG icon to conjure up the proggie menu. Make sure the security isn't higher than 'med'. More than that will block things. If that doesn't do the trick, post back and we'll go further.
