Links can't be opened

OS: WINXP SP2
CPU/Ram: 2.6/1GB

Hello guys, I have inertnet sever and DHCP server but i don't have any kind of firewall or software installed on them both except Norton antivirus and i have diabled the inbound firewall on them both and everything was working fine, but suddenly the all my XP workstations can't open any link on any website but i can open websites directly, any ideas guys?

So you can open webpages but you can't open any links in text in the webpage itself? You need to be more specific. You should always have a firewall up...at the very least Microsofts built in one! Shut down Norton and test your pages afterwards. Software companies like Norton or Zonealarm are none to have issues will Microsoft updates. So times its best to try the simplest things first. Zonealarm had an issue 2 days ago that block internet completely from any browser! Check Nortons site for issues with the latest updates.

Yes I can open webpages but I can't open any links in text in the webpage itself, i have disabled the norton antivirus, and by the way when i try browsing inside the internet server or the DHCP server everything works fine it happens only on XP workstations, any idea please ?

serjyonline, Try re-registering the referenced dll files as shown under the Resolution section at the link below.

Sometimes some pop-up blockers are also known to cause this problem.
