ive been going out and having fun on this old/to be reformattes PC. I discoovered that Limewire is the only P2P sharing app that was free and didnt want to infect my pc. Is this true ??? or there are others that are free in $ and spyware ???

when i use limewire, it seems to take over the internet access...twice now i started a download and i couldn't do anything else until i quit it or rebooted, can't remember which one let me back on the internet...i must say if you want something in a hurry, it's pretty good i was getting ober 200k/sec transfer

I've been using Limewire too, and it's the best. as to Tbird's problem (above), there are options where you can change how much bandwith limewire can use, so it won't "take over the internet"

hey i was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get BitTorrents i tried isohunt.com but that doesnt have alot please post some help or email me because i dont get around to looking at the forms alot thanx (jcortespda@jonakari.com)

Shareaza is excellent, free and spyware/malware free. Been using it for a couple of years now without any problems. It also allows BitTorrent downloads.

Good ol' IRC ;)

Just don't open anything without scanning it first ... make sure firewalls are active ... sure it might be risky, but then again you probably shouldn't downloading whatever it is you are downloading.

what an interesting paradigm ...

Limewire is defined as spyware. When installing it comes in company with spyware and adware. Remove Limewire
