Hi,

After searching around for an answer, including using the engine here, I've decided to ask: periodically my NEC MultiSync XE17 (running XP driver) dips to a lower resolution (1024x768) after a reboot. Opening the display dialog box shows 1024x768 to be the maximal selectable setting when I've used higher. Rebooting sometimes *seems* to help (i.e. higher resolution available for selection), other times seemingly not.

The most recent occurrence is right after I've scheduled a hard drive diskscan, rebooted, etc. Several weeks if not months can pass before a recurrence, with many reboots in between.

My system: dual-boot XP Pro/Win95 (BootItNG is the boot manager). ATI All-in-Wonder 128Pro.

It's damn annoying!

See if you can get a newer video and monitor driver.
