Hi there people. I have Limewire version 4.10.5 and at the mo its running way too slow. When i download something, it downloads at 3-8 KB/s.

Any insiders? Can i get round this nuisance and speed it up to 100KB/s by any chance?

it all depends on the number of "host" you get. how many host did you get? one
you do realize you will eventually infect you computer.

i got like 3 hosts but i thought it was irrelevant as i didnt get the message status "need more sources" argh i hate that. i just want it working at 100 kb/s. it works at 3-8kb/s as i have stated but ive seen my pc on a good day go right up to 320 before and that was just awesome but the problem is maintaining that.

Limewire? Surely Frostwire has overtaken it?

I believe "needs more sources" means it can't find even one host. I'm using Verizon broadband and have never topped 90, even with 7 or 8 host. If you have gotten 320 in the past, you must be using cable. 3-8Kb/s is more like Dial-up speed. Maybe you are already infected. Are you using a anti-virus, firewall, spy ware & ad-ware programs? even if you are that still can not stop what you voluntarily download.
