Has anyone got the LG GDR-8161B 16x DVD-ROM
to work under Windows XP Pro(with some degree of stability)?

I can't seem to play DVD movies, something about analog copy protection. Have also had random system reboots, but I'm not sure if that is a related issue. I've come to the conclusion that the DVD drive is the problem since I had it disabled in device manager, and after I re-enabled it and rebooted, I got the 'safe mode selection' boot screen after being unable to boot normally into Windows.

And.. conveniently enough, I can't even find a firmware upgrade for this particular DVD drive.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA
