I've just built a new computer. I had to disable CPU level 1 & 2 caches to get XP to load. The problem is that now I can't start Windows up with the CPU level 1 cache enabled. When I enable it in the BIOS, it tries to start up, then the screen flashes, and it goes to the "safe mode startup choice" screen. No matter which mode I choose, it continually reboots and ends up on the choice screen. If I disable level 1 cache, the computer starts up and runs just fine, but incredibly slow. I've checked the CPU temp on the BIOS and it never gets above 50 degrees C. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
