Replaced my HP 17' LCD with a HP 19' wide screen resolution should be 1440x900 60 Hz but my computer will not support it an d HP said the computer is too old, suggest I get a display card to fix the problem, I have tried the utils powerstrip but couldn't add this recsolution in the settings, any suggestions?

Thanks, didn't think of the intel website which is working now, I just went to Compaq's website and the service hotline said it won't work. Not very helpful
